They felt the ‘shame’ their daughter brought was completely unbearable so they took the law into their hands and now they have been sentenced to life imprisonment in Germany.
The Muslim parents killed their own daughter in her room because she had had intimate relations with a man they did not approve of. The killing was further triggered when they learnt that she had tried to steal condoms for her illicit s3x sessions with her lover.
The so-called ‘honour killing’ of 19-year old Lareeb Khan was carried out by her father Azadullah (52) who crept into her bedroom at night and strangled her while her mother Shazia (42) watched.
Both then disposed of the body of the ‘bright and talented’ youngster whose only crime was to fall in love with 23-year-old Raheel they disapproved of.

Mother Shazia confessed to the police that the reason she did not try to save her daughter was because she feared her husband. But the court learned she was every bit as fanatical as him and was often at loggerheads with Lareeb.
In court, the father of the dead girl said:
He said they had planned to tell people that she ran away but unfortunately for them, her corpse was found the next day and the parents confessed to the crime almost immediately.
Judge Wagner heard the father take all the guilt for the crime, that his wife did not have the strength to resist him and her lawyer had asked for her to be sentenced only for help in disposing of the body, not murder, and to take into account the ‘cultural background’ to the crime.
But Judge Wagner was having none of it, stating:
